 2026 AGE MATRIX

Traditionally, our football divisions have been established on age and weight.  Pop Warner has implemented many changes to improve the safety of our player athletes.  Pop Warner is now an all AGE BASED division organization.

These changes encompass new rules to game play, limitations to contact during practice, increased training requirements for coaches and participants, and strict protocols following illness or injury.  With these changes, we are now able to maintain healthy competition and player safety based on age alone.  

Therefore, in addition to our typical younger divisions (flag), we are able to offer the following age-based tackle football divisions: 6U, 8U, 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U and 14U.  Please refer to the breakdown of football divisions below for additional detail.
