LEAGUE OWNED EQUIPMENT
The league provides helmet and shoulder pads to all tackle players as part of registration fees. The equipment is owned by the league and must be returned at the end of the season. Altering equipment in anyway voids manufacturer warranty and is against league policy. Families are financially responsible for damaged or altered equipment.
At South Coast player safty is top priority which is why we clean, recondition and/or certify every helmet in our inventory yearly.
PLAYER OWNED EQUIPMENT
Annual Reconditioning and Recertification is Recommended for Every Helmet but helmets must be recertified every two (2) years.
HOW TO GET YOUR HELMET RECONDITIONED AND RECERTIFIED BY RIDDELL
CALL RIDDELL AT 1-888-681-1717 – Consumer Service will help you initiate the Reconditioning and Recertification process.
SEND RIDDELL YOUR HELMET – Riddell will email you an evaluation form along with a pre-paid shipping label.
INSPECTION – Riddell will evaluate your helmet and call you with an exact price before any work is done.
RECONDITIONING AND RECERTIFICATION Includes cleaning, sanitizing, buffing/painting/color changes, inspection, repairs and NOCSAE certification.
GO PLAY – Your helmet is returned fully reconditioned, recertified and ready for the next season.
MANUFACTURER CERTIFIES PRODUCT MEETS NOCSAE®PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
Never send an item to Riddell for reconditioning without first speaking to a representative of the Riddell Consumer Services Team. Riddell is not responsible for any items sent without the proper paperwork, including the evaluation form used in your inspection.
All interior pieces should remain intact and inside your helmet when shipping for reconditioning.
Please remove all chinstraps, visors/eye shields & mouthguards prior to shipping any helmets. These items will be discarded upon receipt. Riddell is not responsible for any helmet accessories received along with reconditioning orders.
Face masks may be left attached to helmets sent in for reconditioning. Face masks are inspected but are not reconditioned. A face mask deemed unsuitable for play during inspection will be noted during your follow-up call. You will have the opportunity to add a new face mask to your reconditioning order for an additional cost at this time.
Individual reconditioning orders average 4 weeks turnaround.
All league gear and player equipment must be returned to the Equipment Shed by a member of the Coaching Staff. Please email the Equipment Director at email@example.com for date/time.
All gear must be returned in a “ready for issue” condition.
Repairs: If repair requirement exceeds a team capability, please annotate discrepancy on white athletic tape across crown of helmet or front of shoulder pad.
Cleanliness: INSIDE OF HELMET MUST BE CLEAN. Please remove mouthpiece and helmet “T”.
Certification: If the helmet’s latest certification sticker reads “2015,” please annotate “RECERT” on white athletic tape across the crown of the helmet.
